Event Description

Anise Russow is joined by Thomas Andersen (piano), Seth Leupold (bass), Sam Bose (drums), Cole Ashley (sax) and special guests to present a night of vocal jazz.

Anise Russow is an 18 year old vocalist who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at Humber College in Toronto. Her confidence shines through in her stage presence, vocal delivery, and soulful tone while maintaining an intimate performance atmosphere. She has been performing all around Victoria for over 5 years, appearing in various bands such as the “The West Coast Soul Collective”, “Groove Kitchen”, and "The Midnights”. Through being deeply influenced by Jazz, Soul and Rhythm & Blues, Anise works to build a bridge between the genres to create a collaborative and expressive experience between herself, her bandmates, and the audience.

Hermann’s welcomes this group of up-and-coming young musicians, home for the summer from studying music at schools such as Berklee, McGill, and Humber. You don’t want to miss it!
