Event Description
Formed in the summer of 2015, Roots Rock Rodeo traces the lineage of country-infused rock from the likes of Johnny Cash Gram Parsons, Linda Ronstadt and the Eagles to Dwight Yoakam, Brooks & Dunn, Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle, Lucinda WIlliams, Blue Rodeo, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert.
Leaving traditional C&W in the dust, Roots Rock Rodeo combines elements of rockabilly, outlaw boogie-woogie, and alt-country with a dash of new Nashville twang thrown in for good measure. The band's distinct sound is defined by tight harmonies, honky-tonk rhythms, chicken pickin' and dirty slide guitar.
