Victoria's 5th Anniversary Ska Festival is proud to host Califfo de Luxe aka Veneto Ska Caberet Orchestra to the Victoria Curling Club grand finale festival bash on Saturday, July 17th/2004. The members of Califfo de Luxe are bound by a long-standing friendship. Born in 2001 and coming from Venice in the Northeastern region of Italy, the band is composed by 8 members each of whom have a different musical origin. But their main purpose is to convey the ska/rocksteady/reggae styles found in their music. Califfo de Luxe are a band that will get people in the party groove any place they play. Some of the highlights for Califfo de Luxe include playing at the Carnival of Venice in Campo Santa Margherita and the Halloween concert at "Jack the Ripper" in Verona. After playing around Italy, Califfo de Luxe are pumped about making their very first North American apperance in Victoria, BC, Canada!
