ChetGPT modern jazz quintet
ChetGPT is a vibrant modern jazz quintet pushing the boundaries of tradition with their eclectic blend of influences. Based out of Kingston, the group features a horn section of Helena Hannibal on alto sax and Connor Rae on tenor sax, with the rhythmic backbone provided by drummer Jordan Bulhoes, the melodic landscapes of keyboardist John McRae, and the funky grooves laid down by bassist Benji Hueglin, ChetGPT delivers electrifying renditions of both traditional and modern jazz and funk standards. The group channels the spirit of jazz legends like Roy Hargrove and Grover Washington Jr., infusing their performances with a contemporary flair inspired by the soulful sounds of D’Angelo and more. ChetGPT is set to make their debut performances this season, promising audiences a thrilling showcase of new energy and innovative interpretations.
